THE BUBBLE HOUSE PROJECT (YKFD)

Ce projet est initié avec Serge Stephan, autour de deux maisons Bulle 6 Coques de l'architecte français Jean-Benjamin Maneval (1923-1986).

Lorsque nous les récupérons, le premier module est en bon état, l’autre très abîmé.
Nous entretenons le premier: usage de la maison montée normalement et praticable, pour des performances, des displays d’expositions, des invitations d’artistes.
Le deuxième donne lieu à des manipulations plus actionnistes: éclatement, dispersion, montage non conforme et mauvais traitements sont possibles.

YKFD manipule tout à la fois l’épaisseur temporelle de l’objet et sa corporéité (‘modèle’ d’architecture organique); le dispositif capsulaire et spectaculaire, l’enfermement, la machine de vision;
la maison, l’espace privé, l’autonomie domestique; enfin l’objet design non recyclable, l’objet utopique échoué dans l’économie du paysage.

The YKFD Project is initiated with the artist Serge Stephan, around two bubble houses of the french architect Jean-Benjamin Maneval (1923-1986).

When we found them, the first one was in good condition, the other one quite damaged.
We maintained the first one: the house fully assembled practicable for performances, exhibitions and invitations to other artists.
The second one allows us actionnist manipulations: dispersion, improper installation and abuse are possible.

YKFD manipulates at the same time the temporal thickness of the object and its corporeality (model of organic architecture); the capsular and spectacular device, the confinement, the sight machine;
home, private space, domestic autonomy; and at the end the old utopian object lost in the landscape.
